"Hi," she said with a smile, wondering if he had figured out that she'd been outside for a while, and was the one who had started the humming. "Um . . ." Should she introduce herself, apologize for what had happened during the feast (even though she had no idea if he even knew about her knowing about him being in musicals), or just cave and admit that in the first place? Except for the blasted music still running through her head, she couldn't think of anything.
"Hi." Ethan agreed, watching the Ravenclaw girl carefully. "How can I help?"

Ethan stood up and brushed past the students already in his packed office and gestured grandly at Garret to come on inside. "Come in, Plenty of room if you want to take a seat on my desk." Which is precisely what Ethan did considering the chairs- including his own- were all taken.

"I promise not to scratch my name on any desks in your class, Professor!" the girl laughed.

She looked at the sleepy puppy currently in her arms.
"Professor, what do you think of Puddles? This name comes first to my mind when I watch him." Jess suggested.
"Puddles? Such a masculine name." Ethan commented in a tone that made it unclear as to whether he was serious or not. "A shorter name would be better I think." Truebridge noted, "Or I might forget it."

"Come in!" Ethan wondered if he should ajourn everyone to the gallery where it was a little less crowded. Hmm. He did quite like the idea of going for a walk.

"Actually. No. Stay there." Ethan jumped off his desk, "Anyone who would like to come along next door to the gallery is most welcome. As for those of you who are procrastinating about studying, well I suggest you head up to the library."

Truebridge ushered all the students outside- even those he had just invited in- and pulled the door shut. He flicked Loretta at the door a few times, casting a bunch of warding spells that made him seem like he was either exceedingly paranoid or hiding something or both.

He paused and looked around at the students with an air of someone who has accomplished something and rummaged in his pocket for a scrap of paper.

Come back later or join me in the Gallery, or leave your name here and I'll let you know when I'm free for a chat.

He attached a quill to a string and hung it next to the note on his door.

"Alright, gallery-ho!" Ethan turned and strode to the gallery without checking if any of the students were following or not.
