Mari took a breath and let it out slowly before she answered Kayla with a half shrug. " I've been alright...better." She said with a hint of meaning. The last time she and Kayla had been in a room together, well...it hadn't been enjoyable, that was for sure." Enjoying the distractions that school provides, for sure." She said honestly. She tossed her dark hair back and she noted that there was still some sort of tension between them, as if it would never go away entirely. " I see you were made a Prefect," She said, not quite congratulating the other girl but simply acknowledging the other's accomplishment.
