"Our feelings don't come into it, we have to go by the facts that are presented before us...no?"
Jake looked back up.
"But you just totally contradicted yourself by assuming something based on your feelings and opinions, which is what all assumptions are based upon. So if feelings don't come into it, you can't make that assumption. The facts are that he was driven away by muggles and that he created a wizarding village. There's nothing else." Black and white. He suddenly felt a little uncomfortable working in a situation where they had to discuss. Things could quickly turn into debates, and escalate to arguments. Jake tried not to think about the issue too much after that.

Jake sighed.
Totally not my day. "I never said everyone was right, nor did I deny everyone was equal," he explained.
"And I for one was referring to what you called his 'backwards beliefs' and hiding a Basilisk in the school was indeed totally wrong, but it was an action he took based on the beliefs, not the beliefs themselves. I only commented on the fact that I don't believe it's fair to say he had backwards beliefs," Jake shrugged. It was all he'd meant, he thought it would be understood.
