"Maybe you should just try to calm down," she said quietly, before adding, "And then talk to Mari about it. Calmly. Not all ticked off like you are right now." And then she glanced back at her plate, and found herself taking another piece of bread to start shredding.
When he suddenly broke into her discussion about Truebridge with Mari and Ludo to ask about the play, she turned back to him, surprised. His demeanor seemed to have completely changed, and it confused her a little. "Um, Rent. Why? I mean, you said you didn't know anything about theater, so I can't see why it would matter to you," she said, mystified.
Hearing Elizabeth's surprised voice he looked at her, "I...forget it." Pushing his plate away he put his arms on the table and rested his head on it with a sigh,
So not what I need. When is this stupid feast going to be over. He kept his head in his arms, not moving, looking at anyone or speaking until he heard Elizabeth speak. "What I show a general interest and you act like I've spoken some language no ones heard or grown another head." He shook his head, "It was a nutral topic and I was trying to relax but since apparently I'm not allowed to ask questions of things that I don't know anything about...I'll just sit here." Placing his head back in his arms he closed his eyes with a sigh and focused on drowning everyone out.
