"Pernipants was a ridiculous nickname," Copernicus scowled a bit. He wouldn't mention what his mother used to call him, but it was actually less embarassing than Pernipants. Or Perni- anything, really. "I think we should make a deal, Plymouth. A nickname deal."
"Alike?" He was distracted and turned to look at Karma again. "Don't be ridiculous. Plymouth and I are as alike as the sky and the earth." He shook his head at the preposterous idea.
Pernipants. That made her laugh very hard. If she remembered correctly, Plymouth had called Copernicus that when they met at The Leaky. It was really funny now, as it had been back then.
"Well, maybe you should each come up with a nickname for each other. And we can help. Something that isn't rediculous to either of you."
Karma sat back slightly, but remembered it was a bench. That was a close one.
"I say Nic for Copernicus. And for Plymouth? I have no idea. Unless you don't want a nickname."
