Hogwarts RPG Name: Margaret Jacqueline Atkinson Morris Fifth Year | Ashie, Josey Potter’s Princess A+ FangGirl Absent mindedly, Melly started to wiggle her legs to and fro underneath the table while trying to check if the Great Hall had changed in any way during the couple of months she had been away from the castle. She probably looked for some fifteen minutes, barely noticing the flying bits of chicken and potato that had flown over her head (thankfully, she was too tiny and therefore hidden between the people who towered over her to be hit), only to finally realize that it was exactly the same. Sure, she might have taken notice of some cracks on the walls that she swore she had never seen there, but besides that...
A happy smile still lingering on her lips, she finally set herself to analyze her fellow students. At first, she recognized none of the people who were there, but then her eyes fell on a certain male. Immediately her cheeks switched to a rosy color. Copernicus was there. And... Merlin, he was a Ravenclaw as well! That meant she would have plenty of time to get to know her - erm, that is, the prince that he was. That meant she had bigger chances of becoming his friend. Not his princess, no, she wouldn't dare to dream that far, but a friend... Ah, she'd like that indeed.
Finding that it was better not to interrupt prince Copernicus while he spoke to some other people - she'd introduce herself yet again once he was alone or with less people -, she kept looking across the table until -
"Juni! Issy!," Melina squealed with a huge grin, hopping from the seat where she had been for the last minutes to run towards her friends.
Once she reached them, her tiny arms circled Juni tightly before turning to Issy and doing the same. "Oh, Issy! I haven't seen you for so long!," She declared, her cheek against her friend's hair. And indeed she hadn't. As far as she could tell, they had barely spoken the previous term and if they had, well, then her memory was even worse than she believed it to be. Well, that or it was too busy remembering details of fairytales and other books she read to actually keep track of her own personal life. It was a rather sad prospect, yes, but Melly didn't mind it much for, in a way, her books [I]were[I] her life and letting go of them would be just awful.
Finally releasing Issy, the thirteen-year-old looked at the two girls with eyes twinkling with joy. "How have you two been?," She asked brightly.
__________________ I gotta go back to the muggle world,
they're gonna try and tell me this wasn't, that none of this happened,
but you know what? It was real. It did happen.
We spent time here. We made friends here. That's a part of us.
Cause Hogwarts is bigger than any of us, of any of it's founders,
and it's going to be around long after we're gone.
Maybe we'll see our kids come here one day.
That's the thing about Hogwarts.
No matter how long you're away from it, there's always a way back. |
