Giving her a slightly worried look she asked, "Where did they take our things? I put Tundra in one of the pockets of my bags and Apollo was sitting in his cage all alone. They are alright, yes?" She was worried. She hadn't wanted to leave her precious pets unsupervised but she had been ushered into the hall without preamble. She would have felt bad asking such prompt questions of anyone else but this young Ravenclaw was her best friend and was used to her questions.

"From the outskirts of London, actually. Where are you from?" He had heard an accent and to find out where it came from would be nice to know.
He heard a small growl come up from under the table. Unsure if it was her, him (although he would've felt it if it were him, wouldn't he?) or someones else around them. Closing the subject in his mind he waited while a girl on the other side of his new friend sat down and began to talk to Lasca.
"Hi," He added to her introduction, waving toward Mariel. He would've stretched out a hand for her to shake but decided against it. Since she was a second year maybe she could help him figure things out.
