Now that the Ravenclaw table had been adequately explored and Juniper was seated happily, she turned her gaze to the staff table. There was the librarian, and Professor Shackleton. And Professor Vindictus and the groundskeeper. And… a remarkably large number of adults that Juniper did not know. Including… the lady from Diagon Alley. Here, at Hogwarts. That surprise held Juniper’s attention for little more than a few seconds, though. More importantly was the lack of several of her favorite professors.

Well, that certainly put a damper on her happiness to be back.

Issy hurried after Juni, toddling the best she could in her new shoes. Heels made it hard for her to keep up with the over-excited girl, even if the heels were as short as hers were. Heels just complicated everything, but she loved the new, shiny Mary-Jane's too much to not wear them. So, off she toddled, heavy heels and all, with a Juni who was very excited to be back at school.

"Juni! I'd keep up if you weren't rushing so much!" Issy moaned, clutching her friend's hand tightly.

She was wearing a silly grin that made Issy want to smile back, but she was too busy puffing.

When they finally reached the table, Issy hadn't even had a chance to look around. Where was everyone else, anyway? When they got off the train, they were all separated. And she still hadn't yet found Samson. Or Sabrina! Melly was still missing and Becca hadn't yet been accounted for. But, on the bright side, at least Issy knew where Juni was and, for the next few days, she didn't intend to let her out of her sight. Sitting down at the table beside Juni, Issy glanced around.

Oh! There was someone she recognized! Not far away, she saw Copernicius.
