12. Furnunculus

Making his way to the Great Hall, the aroma of cinnamon toast hit his senses. As Harry sat down, Ron gestured toward Hermione and said “It doesn’t look bad, right Harry?”

Harry, absorbed in his cinnamon toast, hadn’t realized Hermione was slumping over the table concealing her face.

“Show him,” Ron urged.

Hermione uncovered her face and on the center of her nose was a large, pus filled pimple.

Harry, who had experience with bad acne, muttered a spell to rid Hermione of the pimple, while still munching on his toast.

Hermione appalled that Harry knew a spell that she didn’t, made a mental note to go research how to magically remove zits.

After breakfast, they made their way to History of Magic which they shared with the Slytherins.

“Hey Granger,” Malfoy’s voice crashed through the hallway, “I saw that MASSIVE pimple that you had this morning. I could see it all the way across the Great Hall.”

As the Slytherins erupted in laughter, Harry whipped out his wand and said “Malfoy, if you find pus so amusing, then you will love this, Furnunculus.”

A second later the Slytherins’ laughter stopped as boils started to appear on Malfoy’s face.
