Actor Alan Rickman (Snape) will be joining Harry Potter co-star Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix) in Tim Burton's newest adaptation of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland (which is currently filming), in which he will play the 'hookah-smoking Caterpillar.'

Also starring in the movie are actors Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway and Christopher Lee. The film is tentatively scheduled to release March 5, 2010.
