When something's that important to you, you develop this weird fear of losing it...like I did at the beginning of the school year. It's something that I really couldn't help. I'll tell you what, though. I'll work on it. I'll get better with it, too," she promised.
"Yeah, I get that," Cale said with a sigh. "I know you'd never do anything to jeopardize us. It's just that...guys do things to get on other guys nerves, and there's only so much of it I can take," he mumbled. He looked at his feet and ran a hand through his hair. "So it's not really you...it's them. Especially Nico and Seth. It seems like they're just out to get me, and Nico even has a girlfriend!" he exclaimed.
