Cale walked into Honeydukes, grinning as the sweet scents filled his nostrils. He needed jelly slugs like ASAP. His supply was running low, and even though the inner parts of his brain were telling him to stop eating so many sweets or risk gaining weight, he figured he could spare a few pounds. As soon as he got in, his eyes immediately fell on Anna. Gulp. He blinked, almost as if he didn't believe he was seeing her. Should he go say hi? Or pretend she didn't exist? Their last meeting had been an improvement, that was for sure, but not really the best conversation nonetheless. He had still made an excuse to get out of the awkward situation and he was pretty sure she knew about it.
Plus he was still supposed to be acting like he hated her. If Evolette were here she'd smack him for what he was about to do.
"Anna!" he said, approaching her at the counter before he knew what he was doing. "Ummm...hi!"
Before she could place her candy on the counter in order to get all checked out and paid for, Anna heard the sound of
his voice. He wasn't
just talking, though...he was talking to her! What to do...what to do? Oh, yeah. Turn around and speak. Right.
If only it were that easy, though. Of course she had to whirl around so quickly that she ended up dumping all her acid pops to the ground right at his feet. "Erm, sorry," she mumbled, bending down and picking them all up. "I was just paying for my erm...
What did she pick up earlier? Oh...yeah. acid pops." For added effect, she held up one in the air and then placed it onto the counter with the other five.
"So, yeah...hi," she said. "Sorry about dumping those on your feet, by the way." Hmm..should she break the news to him now or wait until later? She wanted to tell him now..she
needed to tell him now...but truth to be told, she was a coward about the situation. She'd wait a few minutes...and THEN she would tell him. He deserved to know after all.
