He looked around for a napkin to wipe the chicken grease off his hand, and finding none, wiped it on his leg. Being that armor is not very absorbent, the effort did nothing more than leave a smear of chicken grease on his thigh, leaving his hand still relatively slick with fat. Oh well; it was the thought that counted, right? He offered his chicken-slimed hand to the girl. "Will Jones, Slytherin Prefect." he said, pointing to the Prefect badge he had attached with a sticking charm to his armor chest plate. "Don't think I know you; what's your name and year?" Interested, Helena listened to Will intently. As he finished, he offered her his hand. She smiled and shook it, though she was a bit confused. I'm terribly sorry for not introducing myself. I'm Helena Crawley, third year. I just transferred. I moved here this summer from Bulgaria.
Helena smiled again, with her eyes this time, as she wiped her hand off on a napkin. So boys went to an... alter-tive school, last year? How odd. So, this is what you are wearing, then? A... suit of harmor? Oh! Like a kanight? She smiled brightly, completely unaware that she had just made no sense whatsoever. It's a pleasure to meet you... by the way, Helena giggled slightly at herself using a phrase she had just learned that day. Hogwarts is beautiful. I don't think I could have imagined anything more. And probably in every one's book, except for those very, very true Slytherin type. "Ooh, Bulgaria? How was it there?" He asked, his tone completely curious. "I didn't really transfer from anyway. I was home-schooled, tutored." He took a small pause. "My father is a retired professor from a little magical school in Canada. He never really got other teaching. So he would teach me my Charms and Defence Againsted Dark Arts. For the other subjects. My father hired tutors." He nodded, as if that confirmed the fact. Helena smiled slightly, reminiscing on life in Bulgaria. Well, it was a bit warmer there, but I like the change. Besides, I've never seen snow before. She laughed. Home-schooled? That's interesting. My parents never worked a day in their life, actually. I think they quite enjoyed it, too, but I must say that I think I'll prefer a good education and career to sitting on mounds of gold, any day.
