The defeaning crash of graceless metal footfalls on stone could be heard echoing from far down the hall, drawing louder as they approached the Great Hall. There was a crash, as though someone had dropped an armful of pots from a terribly great height, just outside the doorway.

"Flobberworms!" a muffled voice cursed, and there was silence. Then, moments later, the clanging steps started again.

A suit of armor entered the Great Hall, skipping-- yes, skipping -- in great, lumbering bounds and nearly tripping over its own feet again several times before coming to a rest at the Slytherin House Table.

With a huge and clumsy effort, Will lifted his visor, nearly losing his balance again in the process. Beaming happily, he surveyed the great hall. Ah... Hogwarts. The Feast! I'm at home at last. he thought, searching the table for friendly faces. Merlin's toenails, the table is packed... he thought with a shrug. (Well, he would've shrugged, if not for the limitations of armor on one's ability to make such gestures. He considered shrugging, however, which was close enough for Will.)

He found an empty spot not too far from his friends and approached the seat, finding it very difficult to step over the bench but managing at last, though unfortunately he quite nearly kicked an unfortunate first year in the process. Whups. "Sorry." he muttered.

"How did the noble knights of yore ever get anything done?" he wondered aloud as he pulled off a glove and helped himself to some chicken legs. Until this day, he had never understood the great fortitude required to be a knight-- to say nothing of the exceptional ability to control one's bathroom needs once fully dressed in armor. But it was all worth it now... No more Cooper's; no more Cooper's school rules. Armor was 'in' again, and Billium Q. Jones was present and ready for school.
