Mandy smiled at the girl and took a few more bites of food. She was getting full-but the food was so good.
She thought back to her own first year, how it was. It wasn't bad, but then she had Amanda to guide her. Now she was alone-except for the few friends she made during the summer. In fact, she was feeling worse this year than she did her first.
"That is great," Lauren replied sarcastically. "Not only do I have to worry about nerves, but I also have to worry about classes and homework... well I guess my nerves will calm down by then," Lauren thought in her head.
"Well I guess I'll get over it," Lauren said as she picked up her glass and took a sip.
Lauren looked back at Mandy, "So, did you do anything interesting this summer?"
Lauren all of sudden felt a little hungry. She grabbed a bun from the table and buttered it. She felt like her nervousness was getting better.
