No. Ellie was pretty sure Evangeline was never going to do that.
Oh wait.. it was Evangeline that was calling her!
Evangeline!
The Evangeline who said that she was hitting on Clifford!
Ellie pressed her lips against each other remembering what had happened at the kitchen corridor when Evangeline and Clifford were second years and she was only a firstie…
The brunette shook her head.
Geeezz! “Green Apple.” the brunette girl turned to Evangeline with a smile avoiding moving her brown eyes to Clifford.
She was pretty sure that she knew what was going on inside the older boy’s head, after all she knew Clifford for three years.. and that is already something.
She was pretty sure he got all freaked out because of what Evangeline had said on the Luggage car.
And honestly? Ellie couldn’t blame him. "What is that on your hair...?" she asked, her eyebrows both raised.
Ellie noticed Cale New-something approaching the Slytherin table and her brown eyes rolled.
Seriously, could he just disappear from her vision range for a LONG while?
The brunette couldn’t avoid hearing Evangeline’s answer to some Hufflepuff guy.. urg, what was a Badger doing in the snakes table uh? This is Clifford Carden. He's my ... friend.
Ouch.
Poor Clifford.. that was definitely not the kind of things you want to hear coming out from your girlfriend’s mouth.
She looked at the older girl with an eyebrow raised and a smirk. Not nice Evangeline Green. Not nice. she thought to herself while she shook her head very slightly.
She would have said it out loud.. but there were just too much people around. If Evangeline had been looking for some kind of fun by teasing Eleanor when she greeted her, now that thought had left her mind. Clifford didn't seem to be talking to her, so how would she tease Ellie about the girl hitting on Clifford, eh? Bleh. She much rather Clifford talking to her, she'd give up the teasing and all.
It was weird sitting next to him and not talking to him.
"Huh?" Her thoughts about Clifford's quietness were interrupted by Ellie's voice and she turned to look at the girl. What did she have in her hair? Ooooooh. "Mashed potatoes." But thankfully, it was almost all gone.
At least Ellie still seemed oblivious to what was ha -- Or not.
When the younger girl smirked at her and rose her eyebrow, Evangeline mumbled something and glared at her. "Shut it, Eleanor." She warned, willing the girl not to make any comment.
That smirk was just disturbing. Quote:

Only one thing was possible of comforting him properly though, and apparently she was still busy. Chewing th inside of his cheek nervously, Clifford sneaked a peek toward Evangeline through the corner of his eye.
She still seemed busy talking to people. That little kid ... Newell ... Paton ... not him.
Wrinkling his nose and heaving a small sigh at his stoopid thoughts, Clifford reached across on the hunt for some yummy looking dessert. AHA! Chocolate cake! Hopefully that would distract him again. Trying to escape Eleanor's scrutiny, she turned back to Clifford and sighed when she noticed he was still eating. Ack. How could food be so distracting that he wasn't even paying attention to her? Surely, this couldn't be about the Seth thingy. He had said he was fine. Of course she hadn't believed him, but hey.
Whether he was fine or not, she wouldn't spend the entire feast sitting next to him and not talking. So, okay, he didn't want to hold her hand. Fine, she could deal with that. She understood that. Picking up a silver spoon, she got herself some of his piece of chocolate cake and shoved it into her mouth. "Hmmm. Yummy." She mumbled, letting her tastebuds taste the cake fully. "Not was yummy as coconut cake though.." |
