Post New Half-Blood Prince cast interviews & New York City premiere contest (UPDATED)

This week's issue of Recreio magazine features a story on Half-Blood Prince, which includes tidbits from the set and the movie itself:

Quote:
In scene number 562, Slughorn's Party, Neville Longbottom will be dressed elegantly and will be serving Slughorn's guests. Luna adorns an elaborate dress.

- During Dan's interview, he commented about a scene where Ron says, in the beginning of the movie - while Ginny is dating Dean Thomas: "You have to hate anyone who goes out with their sister as a matter of principle." Harry, a bit ashamed, answers: “Yeah, I suppose so…."

- Daniel received an item from Slughorn’s office and a replica of Godric Gryffindor sword; Evanna would really love a wand, and even tried to get it, but every time she hid it in her costume, someone always has to remind her to give it back.
We will update with more of the article and possible scans when they are made available. Thanks to Scar Potter for the news and translation!

Also, Details magazine is offering the chance for fans to win tickets to the New York City premiere of Half-Blood Prince next summer. The prize includes a three-day, two night trip to the city with airfare and two night hotel accommodation as well as two VIP tickets to the event. The contest is open to those aged 18 and over and closes on October 8th.

Warner Bros has not confirmed a New York City premiere in the US for the sixth film, so we will inquire about the impending news and update when we hear more about this.

UPDATE: Scar Potter were gracious enough to translate the Half-Blood Prince article in Recreio magazine, which included interviews with Daniel Radcliffe, Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom), and Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood).

Dan spoke about Harry's feelings towards Ginny in the sixth film:

Quote:
RECREIO - What do you do when you're not filming?
DANIEL - I like to walk around the studios, see how other people act together. Sometimes I read, play on my computer or something like that. But most of the time, I'm filming.

RECREIO - How were the scenes with Harry's new girlfriend in the movie?
DANIEL - Harry dates Ginny. There is a really funny scene about this. In the beginning, Ginny dates Dean Thomas, and Ron says: "You have to hate anyone who goes out with their sister as a matter of principle". Harry, ashamed, says: " Yeah, I suppose so….". He gets a little embarrassed. It's even more complicated than dating Cho. But it's a sweet and important story in the movie.

RECREIO - Now that all of the books have been published, how is it possible to keep the tension in the movie?
DANIEL - We know the story is going to end up all right, but people care about Harry, they want to follow him. So, the movie still fascinates the fans. If we do a real good job, people will forget about the end of the book and will love. In the fifth movie, a lot of people knew that Sirius would die, but even though it meant a lot when happened in that scene. At least for me…

RECREIO - How is it going to be filming the last book?
DANIEL - I think it's going to be pretty sad. I will miss a lot playing Harry and also the ones that I won't work with every single day. But Richard Griffiths, who plays Uncle Vernon, told me that, once I have done two movies in cinema or television, it's unusual to play other roles and not get on with anyone on set. This is really comfortable, because I don't like the idea of never seeing again someone that works here.

RECREIO - What would you like to take with you as a reminder?
DANIEL - Well, I've already taken some things. Now, I have an object from Slughorn's office and a replica of Godric Gryffindor's sword.
Tom explained how much he loved playing Draco:

Quote:
RECREIO- How is Draco in this part of the story?
TOM – He starts to have even more conflicts. It’s time for him to decide where his loyalty lies.

RECREIO- Do you receive others callings to play other villains?
TOM – No. I tried different characters. But I think it is fun to play the villain.

RECREIO – If you could play any other character in the Harry Potter series, who would it be?
TOM – I wouldn’t like to play any other character. I have fun playing "the baddie" the most (laughs). I would have to play someone bad, I couldn’t be a Gryffindor… I’d like to say that I would like to be Voldemort, but that would be so much. Maybe, if I were 30 years old, I could be Lucius. But I don’t know whether someone could play him better than Jason Isaacs.

RECREIO – What did you learn the most importantly from your role in the series?
TOM – I learned a lot seeing the production work, the directors’ and the actors’. I’m always learning about the actors, your characters and the way they choose to play them.

RECREIO – How is the next movie going to be?
TOM – I think that the last book was great, with a really cool ending. I liked Hogwarts battle.

RECREIO – Have you been thinking about what you’re going to do when it all finishes?
TOM – It’s sad to think that it all is going to finish… But I’m trying to enjoy each moment day by day.

RECREIO - What would you like to keep with you as a reminder?
TOM – I’d keep the friends.
Evanna talks about the cast, being Luna, and Deathly Hallows:

Quote:
RECREIO - Did you feel intimidated at the time you knew the cast?
EVANNA - A lot! What made me more nervous was to meet the trio actors that I was fan. How to talk to them? But then I discovered that they're pretty normal! Now I know everyone and it's easier and funnier!

RECREIO - Are there many jokes?
EVANNA - Not much... But yesterday, someone gave Daniel a water gun and things didn’t end up really well. And Rupert is very funny. When he laughs, everybody laughs together with him. We took hours filming a scene at the Room of Requirement, full of mirrors, because everyone started to laugh.

RECREIO - What do you like the most in Luna?
EVANNA - It's incredible how she knows herself and I think she would never change her way of being just because of the others. She is funny and says what everybody thinks but is afraid of saying.

RECREIO - Which book do you like the most?
EVANNA – I really like the fifth and the seventh... I like when the trio receives Dumbledore's things. You can see that each of them has its importance. And I liked to know that Harry had a happy ending. He and his friends are good at magic, but he only killed Voldemort because they wanted to do good things and worked hard for it to happen.

RECREIO - Do you get sad when thinking that it's ending?
EVANNA - Yeah. I try not to think about this right now, because the filming is really fun. But I don't know what I'm going to do when it ends, maybe I'll get into Hagrid's hut and never get away.

RECREIO - What would you like to keep with you as a reminder?
EVANNA - My wand. We've got pockets in the costumes and we always try to hide them, but there's always someone that remembers to take them back.
Matt goes into detail about Neville's role in Half-Blood Prince, as well as growing up with the character:

Quote:
RECREIO - Which scene of the new movie you enjoyed the most to film?
MATTHEW - The snacks in Slughorn's office with Harry, Hermione, Ron and the others! It was the first scene after holidays, so it was really nice to see everybody again eating chocolate profiteroles. I may have eaten 30 that day!

RECREIO - How do you feel when you see yourself in the first movies?
MATTHEW - I don't like to watch those scenes. I had the front teeth and a shrill voice... And I wasn't wearing something to make me fatter. That was truly me!

RECREIO - Do you plan to keep acting? Do you want to work in action movies?
MATTHEW - I want to keep acting. I grew up watching action movies and I think it's fascinating learning how they're done. I enjoyed acting in scene actions in "The Order of the Phoenix"! I'd never done this before and I felt like Tom Cruise. If I could do this one more time, great. But I'm not interested in a special kind of film. The only thing I know is that I love cinema, so, I'll be happy with whatever that comes.

RECREIO - What did you think about Neville's role at the end of the series?
MATTHEW - I can't wait to read the last movie's script! Neville started really shy, but always made efforts and has a really good heart. Harry helped him and, suddenly, he recognized that he's good at magic, just needed trusting. I always knew that he would be an important character. It's simply unbelievable. It was a good ending because he's always tried to do the right thing. So, looking into Voldemort's eyes and say that he wouldn't become a Death Eater was fantastic!
There are also small facts about the film set, such as that Alfie Enoch (Dean Thomas) and Matthew Lewis grew up so much that just don’t fit in the Gryffindor boys' beds anymore, and that when Mrs. Norris, Filch’s cat, gets restless, it’s substituted to a rubber cat.
