Just be patient

The shopkeeper or assistant will reply once they're able to. However, you can RP in other places at the same time; 'Cloning' your character for a different scene (and time in the RPG world) in a different thread is perfectly normal and done all the time. It helps in these sort of cases when you want to RP but your already somewere else, and waiting for a response.
