quill Illegitimate - Sa16+

This is a story of the twin daughters Draco Malfoy had with Elizabeth Hathaway formerly Finnigan in my first fan fic Only Forgiveness.

Indigo and Imelda are aged 12 and this is there journey through school from there second year there friends with James Potter in there year and this is when they meet Rose, Albus, Scorpius in there first and Fred and George Jr in there third, right up to there years after school

Chapter one
Returning to School

“Indigo, Imelda are you two ready yet” Yelled there mother up the stairs. “Yes mother” they Replied simultaneously from there separate rooms. “Then hurry up and come down, were late all ready”.

Elizabeth Hathaway and her twin daughters Indigo and Imelda (Indie and Mel) live in the middle of England on the outskirts of Coventry. Moving from Hogsmeade at the age of three they grew up surrounded by magic though living in a mainly muggle area. But in this small village a group of wizards and witches alike had created a settlement secure and hidden from the muggle world creating a magical haven for the youngsters to grow up in.
At the age of eleven they had received there letters to Hogwarts and now a year later were setting off for there second year, not knowing what surprises they might uncover. They had never known there fathers name, never told of his existence until they met his only son on the Hogwarts express.
The twin’s alike in appearance but not in mind, while Imelda was more the brawn and Indigo the brains of any operation they both ended up in Gryffindor. Indie set on being a Healer and Mel destined to be an Auror they strived for top marks impressing teachers with both there intellect and ability to cause trouble.

Sharing an appearance was fun sometimes and it was easy to trick there mother since there was no one else to say any different. They shared the long black straight hair of there mother, the handsome features of there maternal grandmother and only the pale grey eyes of there father.
“Indie” Called Mel from her room next door “Have you seen my blue hoodie?”
“No” came a muffled reply as indie pulled her own black one over her head.
“Now, girls!”
“Coming” they both shouted grabbing there trunks and owls and pulling them down the stairs. Indie’s brown barn owl hooted as they reached the bottom of the stairs and the cage slipped from her grasp. “Be careful with your owl Imelda, and hurry up and get them outside”
“Im Indie, look black hoodie”
“Stop complaining and get your trunk outside Imelda”
“But - “
“But nothing, go” She pointed to the door
“Ok” she locked the door with her wand and placed her cloak around her more comfortably, “Imelda, we’ll go first, you are to stay in the alley until I come back with Indigo” Indie and Mel smiled at her mistake “Come on then” Elizabeth held the trunk holding her wand in the same hand and put out her other for Indigo to hold. They apparated, leaving Imelda standing there, she took her backpack off and then began to rifle through the pockets until she found it. Her blue hoodie had been hidden in there since last year when her mother had put an enlargement charm on her bag making it bigger on the inside. She shook it off smiled and placed it over her head just as her mother reappeared. “What’s that smell?” As her mother crinkled her nose “Nothing mum, just a dung bomb I found on the floor”
“Hmm, lets go” She put out her hand and her daughter grasped it while clutching her owl in the other.

They stepped on the train, watching James Potter tease his younger brother out of the window and comment on Teddy Lupin and Victoire Weasley when they saw him. He was a first year, small and blonde with cold grey eyes. He hugged his mother and father and stepped on board. The twins sat down in a compartment with the window open, there mother had left already and began to talk when they heard a knock on the door. It was James joined by his younger brother, another girl with mousey brown hair and his best friend Kaleb Forster.
“Indie, Mel” He smiled “This is my little brother Albus and my cousin Rose”
“Hello” they said together
“Do you always reply the same?” Said Albus shyly
“Yes” They grinned
James smiled as he sat next to Indie. His friend sat himself beside Imelda leaving Rose and Albus standing awkwardly in the doorway.
Indigo spoke first “Why don’t you too come in and join us instead of standing in the way”
“No thankyou” Replied Rose our stuffs next door with James and Kaleb’s we’ll just sit in there, were meeting Roman Thomas and some others in a minute”
“Ok” smiled Mel, “We’ll see you guys later then” As they left closing the door behind them. “Your little brother’s so cute” Giggled Indie, “I bet they’ll both be in Gryffindor with us” The train began to move and the people on the platform began to blur and disappear.
“If not I’m disowning him” Laughed James
“That’s not nice” Said Mel throwing a chocolate frog at James’s head. “He’s family you can’t”
“He will, if he ends up in Slytherin with the Malfoy kid” Said Kaleb his mouth already full of chocolate as the train sped onwards.
“Malfoy kid, what’s wrong with the Malfoy’s?” Said Indigo, she ignored James stare of shock. “You don’t know! They were some of the supporters of voldemort when he was really powerful, there dark wizards the lot of them”
“Oh but he’s gone now, thanks to your dad” She nudged him in the ribs “So they can’t be that bad?”
“He looked about as friendly as a scorpion and with a name like Scorpius you can guess why” Said Kaleb as he fed some ham sandwich to Indie’s and Mel’s owls.
“Hmm” said Indie vaguely “But what about the headmistress, surely Professor Tibet wouldn’t allow them in if they where that bad”
“From what I’ve been told about them they where pretty bad and plus my parents, Aunt and Uncles have told me all about what Scorpius’s dad was like at school” Said James seriously “Just you wait he’ll be in Slytherin”
“Not all Slytherin’s are bad; the same as not all Hufflepuff’s are stupid” Said Mel indignantly “Look at Casey Thorpe, She’s normal and nice and doesn’t hunt muggles”
“One of a few, a Malfoy’s not one of them”
“Let’s just wait and see” Smiled Mel
“Where’s every one else in our year?” Said Indie just as there was a knock on the glass and smiling faces appeared.
“Hello you guys” as three Gryffindor girls walked into the compartment. Fiona Jackson, Kathryn Bennet, and Rebecca Havisham squeezed in on the seats and began to ask them all questions about there summer. The two boys got fed up surrounded by giggling and moved next door with Rose, Albus, Roman and another first year, a girl by the name of Dawn Jacobs.
They chatted and changed into robes when the castle came into view. Grabbing there trunks and owls and leaving them at the station to get on the carriages the twins found themselves with two red headed boys who where in there third year. They recognised them as Gryffindor’s and James’ other cousins, Fred and George, said hello and made small talk with them all the way up to the castle.
