Edward sat in the next room, sitting on the couch flipping through pages of a book he had read now for literally its hundreth time. He could hear the conversation in the kitchen and stood. Visitors. Knowing it would be impolite to not go and say hi he reluctantly stood, moving towards the kitchen and making it there before it was even a completed thought.
Everyone was gathered around his little Nessie, his daughter. Shoving his hands into his pockets he stood and leaned against the doorframe. His eyes trailed over everyone, the conversation having already hinted as to what Nessie was up to made him glance in the general direction of the five little fingers that were holding a cookie. He smirked, but only to himself.
He waited for her to spot him first before saying slowly and carefully, making it seem as though she would be in some trouble, "I thought your mother said no."
