The Hufflepuff captain eyed her beater wearily as he piled more food onto his plate. "Careful there... you don't want people to think you're taking after a certain large pig," she joked, thinking back to her encounter with Thornton in Puddyfoot's. "And you think my year without you was much better?" she warranted, glaring up into his blue eyes. "I missed you."
Noticing Tancred thinking for awhile, Mia took the opportunity to gaze around at the others. She gulped when she noticed Josh was looking at her and Tancred; what's his problem? Then it occurred to her that Josh was the Slytherin she hit! Oops! Sighing, she looked away from him and diverted her attention back to Tancred. "What?! Oh you mean been in Hogwarts more than a year together... suppose it's better that way though," she began, her lips curling upwards. "I mean, any longer and I doubt I would be able to stand looking at those perfect eyes of yours..."
"I'd go as far as saying that they do feed us enough at Cooper's, to be honest with you," Tancred said to Amelia, adding one for thing to his pile.
"But by the time Thornton gets through there isn't much left. So ... I take this as a perfect opportunity to get plenty. Anyway, then I won't have to get up for seconds." He paused for a moment and then quickly added in a joking tone,
"And you're one to talk, Miss Rose! You seemed to be light as a feather when I carried you in. Does that mean that Belle's hasn't been feeding you either?"
He couldn't help but chuckle at Amelia's little joke. Honestly, she had nothing to be worried about
that.
"If I ever turn out to be like that man, I give you permission first to beat me with a beater's bat over and over until my senses come back to me," he said with a wink.
"No. I'm not saying that at all. I bet it was just as painful as it was for me," he replied back seriously. Then a wide grin spread across his face,
"I bet I missed you more."
When the Hufflepuff heard Amelia gasp, his eyes darted right in the direction she was looking at. Josh.
Oh, Tancred thought, smiling weakly at Josh.
Didn't Mia hit him? ... Uh oh." He gave Josh an aplogetic look and then looked back at Amelia.
"Oh really?" he replied, smirking a bit.
"Something tells me that you can't resist but to look up at my eyes. Just like I can't help but look at your bewitching ones...."
