Having this charming being so close to her made her face feel hot again. And it was awkwardly uncomfortable.
Becca took a slight step backwards and looked at the Hufflepuff. "Are you expecting me to feel bad for you?" A teasing sort of half-grin played on her lips. "You're not getting my sympathy," she stated firmly, folding her arms. Hopefully this guy had a sense of humor and would realize she was just messing with him, right? If not, they were definitely not going to get a long at all. It was surprising she even lasted as long as she did without being sarcastic.
Kingston gave a small pout at her answer and folded his arms as well. "Now you made me upset. I thought you'd like me, but obviously you're denying me. I'm... sad," he pouted again.
"I wasn't planning to get the sympathy, Miss." Kingston finally smirked, poking her nose. "I wanted to be accepted, but you didn't. Now I must look around for a girl who'd accept me! Oh woe is me! A girl who doesn't look adorable when she blushes like you do! Oh woe is me!"
