He looked around the room, hoping that people weren't staring, although they probably were. "Um, have a seat, then, I've got to dig out the clue that Ryan gave me, so just give me a minute," he explained, searching in his pockets once more for the parchment he had somewhere with Ryan's clue on it. "I'll let you know about everything we've talked about so far when Steelsheen gets here--if she does," he added.
Just as he spoke, Steelsheen whipped through the doors, panting and out of breath and yelling things he could hardly understand. "Erm...hi," he said with a smile. "Don't worry, you haven't missed much...have a seat," he offered her a nearby chair.
"You know what, though?" Anna asked. "I can't blame you for thinking that way. Had the tables been turned, I would have tried to get into detention with you, too. I mean, come on, I snuck into your school for Merlin's sake!" Anna smiled at him and took a deep sigh. "I'm just glad I'm here with you now. Like I told you in class, it was so worth it...at first. In the end, I thought I was going to be in more trouble than I could get myself out of!"
Anna did as Cale instructed and sat down, watching the door and waiting for Steelsheen to finally make it in. "I hope she didn't get caught by anyone," Anna said, a worried expression on her face. "I guess I should have waited to help out the others. I wasn't thinking straight, though. I just took off like a herd of Hippogriffs was suddenly after me. I had places to go...people to see," she continued, smiling at Cale once again.
That was when the door flew open again, causing Anna to jump just a little, and in walked Steelsheen! "You made it!" Anna exclaimed. "I was starting to get a little worried!"
