Eponine's poetry
In the past year I've started writing a lot of poetry. Most of it I'd like to shut away in the back of a dark closet, but then there sometimes a poem I feel needs to see the light. So, these are those poems.
Wow, my opening sounded like the beginning of E! True Hollywood Story. eesh. And no, I have no connection to, and claim no rights to E! and any of its creations. hehe.
Hopefully some of you shall enjoy some of my work, and I'll post more poems depending on people’s responses to them.
-Eponine
This next poem I wrote kind of as a response to a Flaming Lips song. Its about life, and how short it is. One of my least favorites of the bunch. Flow of Life
It's passing away...
Suddenly you won't wear that anymore.
Why does she have the same dress as you?
The bills are piling up.
Clouds you remember are gone.
Why is the sky that color?
Dying your hair isn't because having blue hair is fun anymore.
I liked orange better.
Cousin Elliot is dead now.
You tell the kids not to use that lighting at your funeral-
pink was never your color.
Darn them, they did.
