Amelia decided to stop into the broomshed on her way to check out her sign up list for her house team. Someone had mentioned that she had quite the growing list, but being the stubborn badger that she was, she had to see it for herself.
Pushing her way into the broomshed, she gazed around her green eyes glowing with delight at what she saw. Sure she'd been in the amazing shed before, but never as captain. This was... cozy. She might actually start doing her homework here as it was relaxing being near brooms again. That was when she saw her; Rapunzel.
"Punz!" she exclaimed, strolling over to greet the fourth year. Shifting her clipboard in her arms she smiled and looked down at the girl's work. "Cleaning up that broom for tryouts?" she asked of the girl, even though she already knew Rapunzel was.
But then she glanced down at her clipboard briefly as she spotted the envelope with her announcement for Cooper's there. Of course, that was why she really came in here.. looking for Hufflepuff boys. Specifically Tancred or Garret would do just nicely.
Rapunzel was nearly finished clipping the tail twigs of her broom when she heard a friendly voice address her. Oh, thank Merlin it was just Mia - not another annoying
boy.
She was about to respond to her cap'n when a boy did indeed walk in...and he was obviously flirting with Amelia too. Punz snorted at their silly proper talk, but she covered her giggling by coughing loudly. If anyone asked, she could blame it on the polish fumes.
Once the boy had left, Rapunzel noticed Amelia looking rather wistfully at the door. Odd. Maybe Punz could distract her.
"Hey Mia," she said quietly, snipping a tail twig.
"Would you happen to know who the other quidditch captains are? I er, ran into the Slytherin one the other day....and I was hoping the other two weren't, uh, like her...." Punzel trailed off, hoping that didn't sound
too suspicious.
