You do NOT need to let them know where you are going or what you are doing when you excuse yourself, and elaborating on it is in poor taste." She snickered a bit at that. "Do not lean back in your seat, do not shout down the table, and do not take off your shoes, no matter how ill fitting, and then lose them under the table." Most of her list was of things she'd personally done anyway. "Questions so far?"
Tomasina wanted to snicker at her comments. why on earth would someone take their shoes off at a formal dinner? Who would put their elbows on a table. That was just common sense. Her grandmother used to send stinging hexes at their elbows if they put them on the table. She raised her hand,
"Professor are you going to go over a formal dinner service also?" she asked.
