Terrified of my Tag Rawr!!!
For the first time since his arrival at Hog… Cooper’s School, Jonathan had the time and the energy to absorb his surroundings. He hadn’t been very happy to begin school this year, the year Hogwarts closed down, because it had always been Hogwarts. His mother and father had always told him such lovely stories of the place and he had anticipated his arrival there since as far back as he could remember. Nevertheless, he reminded himself that one could not miss what they never had, because unlike others in the school, he’d never seen Hogwarts, and so never had to suffer the sudden and surprising loss of it.
Today however, Jonathan was in a rather lively mood, because today he had time to explore the place. Whether it be Hogwarts or Cooper’s School, it was still a new and exciting place ready to be discovered. And so he found himself in the Ravenclaw Comme Room with the time to look around. At first glance, he was not pleased. At second glance, he was still not pleased. And at third glance, he found the room more displeasing then the sight of a girl attempting to kiss a wart-covered toad. What disgusted him the most however, something which could be easily compared to a puss-filled toad wart, was the gigantic portrait of the Minister. Repulsing. He might have been only eleven, but muggle literacy enthusiasts would never miss out on the a classic like 1984. And this portrait was oddly similar to that of Big Brother. The portrait freaked him out, in a sense. Just as imposing as it was repulsing, he fell back on a nearby leather chair.
Except it wasn’t leather. It was plastic. “Ugh, they’re just as bad as my mother and her new furniture…” he mumbled and sighed. He felt the urge to rip off the plastic, if only to be rebellious. Jonathan was not one to obey pointless rules, and this one was certainly one of them. However, he restrained, and simply got up again. Wanting to leave the room as quickly as he could, he got up once more and with the corner of his eye, saw the one thing that deserved its place in a Ravenclaw common room. The bust of Rowena Ravenclaw. He felt relieved and approached it. It was nearly invisible, transparent in this corner. Jonathan would’ve moved the statue somewhere more appropriate if only he had the muscles.
Having lost all will to explore, the young boy sank back into the leather chair and simply closed his eyes in order to avoid the torturous glare of Mr. Cooper.
