Post Potter prequel sells for £25,000 (UPDATED)

The Harry Potter prequel, written and donated to Waterstone's by J.K. Rowling that we told you about last month brought in £25,000 ($48,855 U.S.) at an auction in London today. The money raised from the 800-word storycard, which tells a tale about the early days of James Potter and Sirius Black, will be donated to two charities: English PEN and Dyslexia Action.

Speaking at the auction, Rowling said: "I had great fun writing the card and I'm absolutely delighted it has raised £25,000 for such a worthy cause."
The buyer was Hira Digpal, president of a Tokyo-based investment-banking consulting company, Red-33 who had originally intended to bid £50,000. He intends to use the prequel for further charitable purposes.
