With growing interest as to what exactly all those things were piled on the table, Jacob walked over and found himself at the edge of a huge spread of gifts. Finally, he could get rid of the box he had been carrying around with him.
Jacob place the neatly wrapped box on the table. It was covered in purple paper and accented with a glittery black ribbon. He found the nearest security personnel and recounted the contents: a maple box inlaid with an ivory phoenix. The ivory would change colors, from its natural white to yellow to orange to red and back again. It was the best Jacob could do, with the limited spending money he had - hopefully, now that he had a job again, that would change. |
