Luna took her time heading up to the common room. Everyone else had left already and she was left alone to say her goodbyes to this place she had called home for seven years. It was eerily silent as she walked up the steps to dorm. She took her wand out of her robes and quickly cleaned off her robes before packing the few remaining items. She levitated her trunk and turned around in a circle, surveying the room in silent farewell before heading back down the stairs to the common room where she found Professor Flitwick, sitting upon one of the couches.
Luna walked over to the small man and knelt down in front him as he slipped from the chair. They embraced and wished her the best of luck before hurrying her on her way; the carriages to take them to Hogsmeade station where the train was already blowing its whistle were about to leave. With a tear in her eye, Luna slipped out of the portrait hole and carefully walked down to the entrance hall where she would be meeting up with Ginny.
