The Generally Perplexing & the Generally Perplexed
Theme # 41: Thestrals

Harry can see thestrals. I have heard this frightens many I know well: Not me, though. I have always seen them. When Harry and I go out together, and I talk to him of nargles and gnomes and Ministry goings-on, I always tell him how sweet it is that we can both see these wonderful creatures.

“Yes, it’s wonderful, Luna,” Harry says gently, immediately dropping the subject, which sometimes makes me feel as if he is not very happy that he can see them. It can be very confusing, sometimes, being Harry Potter’s Miss Right: He is just generally perplexing!
