Chapter Fourteen: Second Year Part One

Mia stared excitedly out the window of her compartment, waiting for Hogwarts to appear.
“When are we gonna get there?” she asked Sirius and James, impatiently.
“Relax, Mia.” said James, smiling, “We’ll get there soon. Are any of you hungry? I think the food trolley is going to come here soon.”
“I’m starving!” said Sirius, “I didn’t get the chance to eat any breakfast this morning because I overslept. My mother was freaking out too because we were almost late for the train. Good thing Regulas and I don’t have to be in the same compartment.”
“Is Regulas your brother?” asked Mia, confused. She hadn’t seen any of Sirius’ family members for three years so she doesn’t remember too much about his life.
“Sadly to say, yes.” answered Sirius. The compartment door opened and Lily’s face appeared.
“Oh, thank goodness we finally found you guys. Keely, Remus, and I have been looking all over the train for an empty compartment but we can’t really find any. Do you guys mind if we sat here?”
“Go ahead.” said Sirius, gesturing towards the seat next to him. Lily, Remus, and Keely entered the compartment and sat down near the door.
“You must be Mia,” said Lily, extending her hand towards Mia to shake her hand, “Hello, I’m Lily Evans. James told us a lot about you. This is Keely, and Remus by the way.” She added, pointing towards Keely and Remus. Remus was looking a little pale and Keely looked a little better since the last time she was seen.
“Remus, are you feeling well?” asked Mia, “You look a little sick.”
“Oh, I’m fine.” Remus said truthfully, “I’ve just been feeling under the weather lately.” That part wasn’t true; Remus had just been out of transformation for a few hours now, luckily the full moon would be passing after they go to Hogwarts.
“So Mia,” said Keely, trying to start a new conversation, “I bet you’re really excited about starting Hogwarts, huh?”
“Yes,” said Mia, beaming, “I’m a little worried about how the students are gonna act around me. I always hate being the new girl.
“Just remember what Sirius and I told you during the summer.” said James.
“And what, exactly, would that be?” asked Lily
“To ‘Mingle and blend in’.”
“Are you going to need me or James to stick by you until you get used to it?” asked Sirius.
“No thanks.” said Mia, looking out the window again, “I don't need my big brothers glued to my hip.”
The food trolley came and passed and James, Sirius, Remus, Lily, Mia, and Keely spent the afternoon eating their sweets and talking about the new year in Hogwarts.
