“Professor Dumbledore hired me for this postion. He has every confidence in me,” Snape says. “Begin cutting the scurry grass now.”
“Dumbledore doesn’t have enough confidence in you to let you teach Defense Against the Dark Arts.”
“He has his reasons.”
“How many times have you applied for that position?”
“Fourteen times”
“I see.” Does not respect the headmaster. Umbridge writes.
"Why have there been so many DADA teachers?
“Dumbledore has had trouble hiring qualified Defense Against the Dark Arts teachers. They have ranged form a bogus author to a werewolf.”
Does not get along with the rest of the staff.
