Lyra jumped as the eagle began to screech once more. The one bite she now had was still hurting but she surely didn't need another one. "It's okay," she began to speak to the eagle. The feathers were soft to the touch as she began to stroke it's wings softly and carefully. "Is there anything else we have to keep her safe besides the ropes? I don't like her in the ropes but I don't have anything else."
Now she was beginning to feel sympathetic to the eagle knowing that if it were her, she would be just as angry. "She is tired, obviously or I would have more bite marks on me but she has to be hungry." She turned to Agie for a moment. "Do you have anything else in those pockets besides cheesecake and bananas?" she lightly giggled as she began to stroke the bird once more. If it bit her finger, then that was just the price she would pay. She want the eagle to know that she was safe and this was the only protection, besides her arms that she knew of.
