 Elder Quad
Axel stood, watching Ben's facial expressions change. When Lainie had called him A-Daddy he saw the young man flinch. He knew that must have hurt him deep down. What could he do though? He had acted as he father figure for some time now and she was, legally, his daughter. Again, that deep sickness in his stomach came back. Who knew if he'd ever act normal again about this. And who knew that in one instant that his life would be changed so abruptly.
He cringed, shutting his eyes tighter as Lainie said she had no idea who Ben was. This even hurt him inside, mostly because she knew who her 'fake-father' was and not her biological one. Wow, this was terrible. Not to mention that Remmy could just pounce on anyone at any moment. That's a comforting thought. Actually, he was quite calm about this situation, strangely enough. If Remmy takes me from behind and does away with me, I don't think I'd mind at this moment. It was a terrible thing to think, but he often used to have those ideas in his darker days.
Axel then shrugged at Emmy's words. Who knew that they were gonna do about Lainie. She was probably running back to Remmy or something. Normally that would have frightened him, but if Remmy hadn't of hurt her by now then there was little chance that he still would. At least, that was the way he was taught in auror training. He was going to stick by his instincts.
Chloe nodded in agreement with Jodie. She thought they all needed a bit of cooling down time before they all were together again, especially her and Jenny. She too heard the doorbell and broke away from her brother to go inside. She waited though, only so he would follow. "It's really no problem Jay. We both went crazy today." She nodded. Well that was completely true. She had never punched someone before, ever. Little did she know that there was another person she might want to punch later.
Finn smiled and gave Jodie a tight hug back. Really, her words helped him a lot. She too was like an older sister figure to him, much like Chloe. "Thanks Jodie. You're words 'elp more than ya know," he said sincerely. He too walked inside behind the two girls and into the kitchen. It was much quieter now and less tense, but he knew that wouldn't last very long. it was only a matter of time before something else happened. |
