Hogwarts RPG Name: Alexander James Wright First Year | Elder Quad Axel couldn't help but chuckle at his friend's observation. Running his fingers over his faded scars, he looked directly at Ben. "Probably the same thing that happened to you. Went on a job, got ambushed, got tortured. This of course was after my family was attacked and I was gone for...months," he told him quietly. He and Ben were more alike than he knew. Both of them were aurors and both of them had gone through something traumatic.
Although he didn't know what exactly had happened to Ben, Ax knew what had happened to himself. He had gone on a job in Ireland early in the morning, but his team was ambushed. He was tortured, almost to death, but someone intervened. It was the same people who had abducted him before. But this time, they had meant to kill him.
Smiling widely at the mention of Finn, the young man nodded. "Yeah, he managed to break her down. They got married and had a baby pretty quickly. Finn's ecstatic. He keeps calling Ash his 'lil football star'," he chuckled. Ben had still been around when Finn was recruited by the Dublin Gaelic Football team, so of course there was no need to explain.
Thanking the lord for his cousin's wit, Axel stepped back to allow Finn to have the exact same reaction as to when he himself first saw Benji. This gave him more time to think. How was Ben going to react when he figured out that Emmylyne was now his wife. Obviously it didn't sound good to him. Axel knew that Emmy would want to go back to her former husband. There was no doubt about that. Or was there? She had pledged her love to him months ago, but would that change now that Ben was back from the dead? It all made him sick, sick to his stomach. "Wha' the hell are ya scarin' us like this for?!" Finn laughed as he released Ben, then helped him to sit down. "Ya look terrible by the way," he chuckled. As if that wasn't obvious. Yes, he was extremely glad that Ben was alive, but he couldn't help but think about what was going through his cousin's mind. He stole a glance at him, only to see the worry on his face. "An' we didn't miss you? Are ya kiddin' me?" Then hearing the doorbell, Finnegan looked through the doorway of the kitchen. "Tha's me sista'. I wonda' 'ow she's gonna react," he chuckled. "Oh Ben, you've gotta see me son," he said proudly. He was so happy to be a father. He was showing the baby off to anyone who would listen. His name might as well be in lights. "I'll 'ave him on the field in no time." Ah yes, a line that Eli heard probably everyday. "Eli!" Chloe squealed, throwing her arms around her sister-in-law. "It's so good to see ya!" Looking down at the stroller, she let out a whoop of delight as she rushed over and bent down by the little boy. "Oh he's gorgeous." She gave him a little kiss on the head then held his small hand in her own. "I couldn't resist Eli. I bought him somethin'." Handing a small blue bag to the young woman, Chloe waited patiently until she opened it. Inside was a replica of his father's Gaelic Football jersey, green and all with 'O'Callaghan' printed on the back. "Adorable isn't it?" she giggled. "Oh me? I'm just engaged, tha's all," she said nonchalantly, a mischievous grin on her face. "Somethin's up?" she repeated. Nodding, Chloe walked silently into the kitchen. Smiling widely as she saw everyone, her honey colored eyes landed on a figure, a figure she thought to be dead. Letting out a shrill scream, she stumbled backwards and hid behind her brother. "I already went to your funeral!" Yeah, that's exactly what everyone thought she would say. Not. "H-how is it tha' you're alive?" she asked hesitantly as she slowly moved from behind Finn.
This wasn't possible. She knew him to be dead. She went to his funeral, she saw how hurt everyone was, she saw the way her brother looked. Shaking her head, she walked over to him and sat across from him while taking his hand. "You're really alive, aren't you?" she whispered. Letting out a light laugh, Finn moved to his sister's side. "We were all just as...scared...as you were. Maybe not as loud though," he chuckled. He of course had been waiting for Chloe's reaction, but he had no idea she'd almost break the windows. He was just happy that Ashton's..crazy, yes crazy, aunt was here. Axel chuckled a bit from behind everyone as he leaned against the wall and watched his wife to go work. Wow, I'm not sure how much longer I'll be able to call her that. This thought made his stomach lurch. Why? Why must you do this to yourself? This could be a good thing. You don't know. He rolled his sea green eyes to the ceiling then back down again. Yeah right, this is gonna be hell. |
