Hogwarts RPG Name: Alexander James Wright First Year | Elder Quad Kissing his wife's forehead, Finn chuckled lightly at her comment. "Very true. Jus' wait until I'm done with him. He'll be kickin' all the time. My lil' football star," he assurred her. Of course, there was no doubt about it, he would be teaching his son the tricks and the trades of Gaelic Football. If Ashton was going to be at all like his father, he would obviously be able to at least kick a ball.
Glancing at the hallway where Emmy had vacated a few minutes ago, Finnegan scowled. "I wonda' where she went," he mused. He squeezed Eli's shoulders a little, out of love of course, and kissed her cheek. His life was absolutely perfect. How could it get any better? And there was no possible way it was going to get worse. Or was there? As the young man stood with his arms around his best friend, Axel couldn't believe what was happening. He was alive. Not so well, but that could be fixed. He was here...and probably wanting his wife back. At this point in time, Ax felt absolutely terrible. He had taken his best friend's wife after he had supposedly died. He had finally fulfilled his own happiness, yet ever since he layed eyes on Benji he could slowly feel it slipping away.
This was, after all, Emmylyne's first husband. Of course, Axel was now questioning their love. Did she only marry him out of loneliness? Would she easily go back to him even though she was carrying his twins? All of these questions made his stomach drop even more. He was literally close to vomiting. He had never felt this way before and he really wished it would go away. "I'm so glad you're alright," he choked out as he finally let go of Ben. A few tears had fallen down Axel's face. The scars he had gotten long ago were still visible, yet they were nothing compared to what Benji looked like. It reminded him of his own journey back home. Maybe it had been the same person who had kept him hostage. Running shaky fingers over the stubble on his chin, Axel let out a long, broken up sigh. "Let's head inside," he agreed. There were some things they needed to talk out, no matter how much everyone would hate it.
What he was about to break to Benji was going to absolutely break his heart. The thing he was worried about the most was Ben's reaction and how Emmy would take the situation. He hoped to god that Ben wouldn't get mad, but that was a long shot. There was no doubt that he would be upset, very upset.
After closing the door behind the three of them, Axel smiled a strained smile and nodded. "Yeah, she had a baby boy; Ashton Chase...O'Callaghan." He made sure to emphasize his cousin's last name to get the point across. Dear Finn, he was as happy as can be with a wife and child, yet Axel felt like he was slowly falling into a black hole.
Walking past the living room, Ben and Emmy in front of him, Axel gave Finn a fleeting glance as he disappeared into the kitchen. On hearing the door open and more than one voice, Finn absently looked to the doorway of the living room. The three figures that passed walked quickly so he couldn't really see their faces, but he just happened to catch the look his cousin gave him. "Somethin's wrong," he breathed. Standing up quickly, he turned to Eli. "Grab Ash, we're goin' into the kitchen." He didn't need to give her any explanations, he just knew that Axel needed him.
Walking quickly in behind the three, Finn gasped and stumbled back into the wall to catch himself from falling. He couldn't speak. All he could do was stare at the form of one of his best friends. "W-wha'? B-Ben? You're...not d-dead," he managed to say. His legs were shaking, yet he grabbed onto Axel's shoulder to regain his balance.
Righting himself, Finnegan threw his arms around Benji and squeezed tightly. "Where the hell 'ave ya been?!" he demanded. Of course, it was the exact same reaction Axel gave which only made Ax chuckle lightly from behind them. All Finn could do was hug him, while two small tears ran down his face.
Then, looking to his cousin, he saw the worry that covered his face. He knew what he was thinking and he knew how scared he must be. Ben must not have noticed the small bump on Emmy's stomach. Oh Ax...I'm so sorry. Having only just aparated into the woods near her cousin's house, Chloe walked quickly and quietly up to the door. Fixing her skinny jeans and baby doll top, the young woman knocked lightly on the door. She was a woman of twenty four years of age, yet she looked to be a teenager with her vibrant red hair and honey colored eyes.
She heard loud voices from inside, more sounding shocked than angry. Pursing her lightly pink lips, Chloe listened more carefully as she waited for her presence to be known. All she really wanted was to see her nephew and give him her present. She just couldn't resist getting the baby boy something, especially because it was her brother's child and he had waited for so long to be happy. |
