For years I've been a heavy supporter of Holocaust Remembrance and the Shoah; to see Dan giving this piece of himself, this memory...brings me to the preserved camps where barracks full of eyeglasses that used to belong to people still stand. I never knew his mother was Jewish. I wonder if she lost any family to Hitlermort and his Death EaterSS. (I am in NO WAY belittiling anything when I refer to them as that. JK couldn't have picked a better metaphor for the face of tyranny in her books if she tried)
