Ariana winced slightly as Hufflepuff and Slytherin both lost points, feeling horrible. She though she'd have a conversation with the professor about it later, in private since now wasn't the time. She watched as Amelia got up from beside her and moved to sit with the student who lost the points.
Pointing her wand at her robes, which were still glowing she murmured, "Finite" and they stopped. Bending down, she began writing small notes about the things they learned today, including how not to talk in class. "Um, Professor, would it be alright if I practised the 'Oppugno' spell? I missed the lesson on it and wanted to learn how to do it." She asked, looking at her.
