It may be a big surprise to some that Professor Rae is holding class today, especially considering that her children have been taken from the school to places that are unknown. She's been spotted all over the school in tears, but here the door is open and the room is ready for class.

Once inside, however, you are quick to discover that Professor Rae is not holding class in the traditional sense. The desks are pushed back around the room, and there is a nothing of note... until you see the highly polished dark wood box sitting on Rae's desk. The lid is slightly ajar.

Dark Creature Independent Study

Feel free to explore the Dark Creatures miniature collection bought for me several years ago. Each of the small figurines is a perfect working replica of a Dark Creature. Take time to look them over and take lots of notes. Using your notes and your textbook, please list the following for three of the creatures:

1) Name the creature
2) List the MoM rating
3) Give a physical description (as full as possible)
4) List one possible way to defeat this creature (as full as possible).

Extra credit if you include a drawing or sketch (you must do this YOURSELF).

As you push back the lid to the box, you find 12 velvet lined compartments. Many of them are empty, obviously holding animals you aren't going to have to deal with today. Of the ones that are filled, you see the following creatures:

* A spider-like creature with a thick furry body and eight hairy legs
* A long acid green snake that keeps clicking it's fangs at you
* A fairy-like creature with dark hair and shiny, beetle-like wings
* A creature that looks like a monkey with scales
* A tortoise with a jewelled shell
* A winged creature with the head of an eagle and the body of a horse
