"I know I can talk to you Excelsior." Said Clifford nodding, he knew that if he did have any serious problems he couldn't talk about with Evangeline, Excelsior would probably be one of the first people he went to. He looked thoughtfully at his friend for a few moments. "I don't think there is really anything I need to talk about.. things seem to be going pretty smoothly right now, except." He bit his lower lip nervously. "Okay, there was one thing.." He wasn't sure if this was the sort of problem Excelsior was talking about but he carried on anyway. "Do you think I should ask Evangeline to be my girlfriend?" He blushed, but didn't care. "It's just.. I really do like her.. but I've never asked anyone out before.." He waited nervously.
