Natasha rushed into the nursery, completely ignoring the house elf in her haste to get to her son's side. She bent over the side of the cot, her bright red curls a tangled mess as she took in her son's sleeping face. She let out a sigh and nearly jumped a foot in the air when she heard a CRACK behind her.

Whirling around, she saw nothing, and it took her a few seconds to realize that Quirly must have left to give her some time with Damian. Glad that there were such considerate helpers at Hogwarts, she turned back to her son and watched him lovingly as he slept.

After a while, he started stirring so she picked him up and made her way back to her main office.
