Fay Mercillio did not enjoy the fact that Ionn was write but recognized it. He was, after all, the wise one. "Yes, it would be wise to preserve our warriors for other battles." Perhaps they should form an alliance with the Deer People. Battle plans flitted through her head as she thought of the advantages. The deer people were quicker and knew a different part of the island than they did. A far off look entered her eyes and you could almost see the wheels turning inside of her head, a look she always got when imagining battle tactics and fighting. She brought everything to her mind of past battles to learn from that. There had been the one with the trolls a few months ago. She remembered her heart beating so fast it had threatened to beat out of her chest. She led a small group of warriors as was planned. She remembered turning her head slightly and seeing a man standing their, amongst another group, his serious face set in a determined look. Fay's thoughts changed immediately from battles to Murough and a new light entered her eyes as a light smile crept to her lips. Her... the river last night... His hands on her shoulders... His handsome gray eyes... She held back a girlish giggle and bit her lip, not aware that she looked just as day dreamy as her sisters. Oh how she wished to see him again! She would go into the village with the others, if they opposed she would battle for her right, and she wanted Murough to be there even if it was past the better judgment for she could never get her mind to focus whilst around that handsome man. I should not be thinking of my fellow warrior in this way! she scolded herself guiltily but couldn't help but let her thoughts wander to fantasies she felt would never come true. Of him hugging her, and even, kissing her. Her own bold thought made her surprised. She blinked a few times, causing her long eyelashes to brush her cheeks, in an effort to get control of herself. Suddenly, she heard a knock at the door, tearing her away from her thoughts as the fiery light lit up her eyes once more and she looked from Ionn whom she had been conversing with and then to the door. She knew it wasn't good manners to open the door but he seemed too lost in thought to open it himself.

Suddenly, there he was. Staring into her violet eyes, his brow furrowed and his face drawn up in seriousness. Her reflexes told her to do two things. To slam the door in his face with pure surprise and excitement or to lunge at him and kiss him until neither of them could breathe. With a struggle, she ignored both of the instincts and tried to keep her eyes upon his. New, vain thoughts filled her mind. Did she look alright? Was her dress too plain? Oh gods, her hair was still damp! Did she look like some half drowned wet cat!? The thoughts left her head just as quickly as they had came when she realized that Murough was unlikely to give her even a second glance. She kept her hands perched upon her hips as she watched them. Her heart was beating faster than ever before but she hid it with a shrug of dismissal. Perhaps she was really having a heart attack. If so, she hoped that Murough carried her to the healer... She wanted to be held in those strong ar- Fay must you scold yourself every five minutes because you cannot keep your mind turned away from him?! she thought angrily. But then added, As long as I'm able to hide my feelings is it so very wrong to think? And imagine? She quickly answered herself that yes, it was very wrong to fantasize being kissed passionately by a fellow warrior who she placed great respect and trust in. "Hello," she greeted when she finally found the breath to do so sense the sight of Murough made her forget to perform very crucial actions such as taking in a proper amount of oxygen. "Ionn seems to think that we should go talk to Emrys." She couldn‘t even turn her eyes away from his to look at the young bard. "When shall we go? We're burning valuable daylight,” she pointed out, her voice ringing in the air as she addressed Ionn. Fay's mind might be elsewhere but she was forever on task, fighting to do what was best for her people. Suddenly, with a jolt, she noticed that Nerina and her brother were still standing outside. “Right, come in,” she said a bit too late, opening the door wider.
