Draco and Hermione were sitting at the House table eating breakfast. News of them being together spread fast, and by the end of the week, Scott had decided to approach Hermione and talk her out of this madness.

After Draco had finished eating, he rubbed Hermione's back as she and Ashley talked over their schedules for next year.

"Seriously Hermione, you really should take up Divination again. It's such a simple class, and the teacher-"

"Ashley, I tried taking Divination. It doesn't work with me, ok? Now, you on the other hand should be looking into Owl Habits. Think of the amazing new species of owl you could discover!"

Ashley waved her hand at Hermione "Owls are for people like that kid Neville at your old school. Trust me, the future is where you need to look."

"Whatever girl. Let's talk about now. What do we have today?" Hermione finished her toast as Ashley brought out her schedule.

"Umm...Muggle Studies, Wand Making, and Legendary Creatures. Honestly, if WE know they're real, why call them Legendary?"

"Because even if we know they're real, their not around anymore, which makes them Legendary. Let's just get to class."

Draco and Hermione both got up, and Ashley grumbled a bit more about the class. Hermione gave Draco's hand a squeeze.

"Look baby, I have to get something from the dorm, I'll meet you in class, ok?"

"Sure hon. I love you." Draco kissed Hermione, and left with Ashley. Hermione made her way out of the Banquet Hall and headed for the dorms. A boy sopped her on her way.

"Hey Hermione, what's up? Besides your good looks, I mean." Hermione gave the boy a withered look, and tried to move past him. He blocked her. "C'mon Hermione, let's just chat."

"Who are you? I don't even know who you are!"

"I'm Scott. I'm the guy you REJECTED a week ago, remember?" Scott folded his arms and stared at Hermione accusingly.

"It wasn't my fault, I had a boyfriend." Hermione defended herself, and tried to move past him again. This time, he flung her against the wall.

"No one tells Scott Marquese no. You're in trouble, Miss-Oh-So-Young-And-Pretty." Scott moved in on Hermione.

Draco and Ashley were halfway to class when he remembered that he had wanted to invite Hermione to his new house that summer. He stopped Ashley.

"Wait, I forgot to tell Hermione something." Ashley gave Draco a Look.

"Can't it wait? We're halfway there. She's in the same class as us."

"No, I want to tell her now. I'll be right back."

"Well, I'm not showing up there by myself. It'll look like I have no friends. I'm coming with you." Ashley followed Draco to the dorms.

"....you're in trouble..." Draco heard Hermione's voice cry out, and he sped up his walk. He say Hermione being harassed by a strange boy.

"Hermione!" Hermione's head whipped around.

"DRACO!" She sobbed in relief, and Scott's face went paler than Draco's.

"Let her go!" Draco yelled at Scott, and grabbed him by the arm. Hermione flew from him and ran to Ashley, who flung her arms around Hermione.

Scott wrenched his arm away from Draco, and barely missed getting his head knocked off muggle style. He ran away, but paused by Hermione.

"See you around, hot-stuff." Draco roared and Scott fled.

"Hermione, are you ok?" Draco took Hermione into his arms. Her body shuddered.

"I...I'm ok Draco. He...he just startled me."

"Who was that?" Draco asked Ashley.

"That was Scott Marquese. He was the guy that tried to ask hermione out. I guess he got a little sore. He'll be after you next Draco, mark my words."

Draco shrugged off the warning and held Hermione all the way to class, where she finally calmed down.
