Kristi stared down at the paper Marcella had handed to her. So that was it then. Sentenced. She slumped down into a chair next to Marcella and banged her head on the table in frustration. Then, pulled one of the books over and opened it up. "Do you think this will work?" she asked Marcella, sounding doubtful.
