Zellanna (by Droo)
Hello and welcome to this week's installment of Witch Weekly. This is Droo (Cassandra) and I have been given the pleasure of interviewing Zellanna as she has now become staff here at SnitchSeeker, and is RPing the new Herbology Professor, Armand Erikson. Hey there Z, thanks for taking the time to do this interview! No prob. Sooo... I'm not going to ask you your real name, unless you want to give it, but what you like to go by? Typically Zellanna or Zella. Anna's fine, but it's not my favorite. Cool! How old are you? 24, going on angsty teens. lol lol! Which part of the globe are you from? Northern. I'm actually from "sunny" California. Heheheheh When/How did you first get into the Harry Potter series? Part of that story I can't reveal to the general SS populous, but a friend was into it and after a while I ended up reading fanfiction. The fanfiction was good, so I tried reading Sorcerer's Stone. Aside from being disgruntled with renaming what was obviously the Philosopher's Stone (one of my favorite mythologies/philosophies), I found it an uninteresting read. I saw the first movie, and decided to skip the first book. Reading book two made me a fan, and I've read all the books since. I still haven't finished the first book, however. I've always found that the hardest. Which is your favorite book? I'd have to say Half-Blood Prince. I'd slowly become a Snape fan, since he seems to be the most Well-developed character. He makes me think, and I love that about him. It also just has so much background. Not to mention, it's the most well-written out of all of them. Prisoner of Azkaban comes in a close second. Snape is one of my favorites too, but which character do you most identify with? I'm somewhere between Dumbledore and Snape. Think Dumbledore, in giving advice, and usually having some idea of what's going on before others. However, I'm darker than Dumbledore. I'm not quite as controversial or secretive as Snape, but I can be a little chaotic, and I know the importance of appearences. I've also seen Snape as strict, rather than mean. I find it easy to see through the eyes of both Dumbledore and Snape. Maybe that just means I think too much, though. How did you stumble onto SnitchSeeker? I wish I could find my old posts from Hagrid's Newbie Hut, because I honestly can't remember. lol But I'm quite I simply found it in a search while looking for Harry Potter stuff. It was actually the Hogwarts RPG that intrigued me, so I joined up. Right about the time of the sorting, and just in time for Term 3. Meanwhile, I'd only just started reading Prisoner of Azkaban while everyone else was excited about the first draft of HBP nearly being done. I don't think we even had the title yet. Speaking of the RP, Armand Erikson is a great character so far, and knowing you, he is very well thought out. Other than the fact he is a wizard, a male and a professor, what are the major differences between the real you and the the character you play. He's probably the most developed character I've played so far. Like me, he's fairly flirtatious, and can't resist a little playful torture. For instance, I wasn't planning on having him flirting so early on, but that Natasha Blaylock appeared nervous just made it irresistable. However, he's also much calmer and refined than I am. He also is far more vain. Going by Vampire: The Masquerade LARP terms, he rates a 7 on a 1-5 scale of gorgeousness, and does his best to keep it that way. lol He has special potions to keep himself from getting too tanned, to keep his hair perfect, and to keep from getting scars when his plants get out of hand. Meanwhile, I like giving myself a good appearance, but I'm not obsessive about it. I don't wear makeup except on special occasions, and my favorite clothes are T-shirts and jeans. WOW!!! I can't wait to see what happens during the term. Aside from JK and the Harry Potter series, Who is your favorite Author and what is your favorite book? My favorite author has been Stephen King since junior high, when I started reading The Dark Tower series. Out of that series my favorite is Wolves of Calla, which interestingly enough has a Harry Potter reference in it. And I just love that he's a JK Rowling fan. Now when people tell me it's a kid series, I can tell them Stephen King likes it. lol My second favorite would be Peter David, because he writes the only Q novels I'll read. John DeLancie is a close third, with Soldier of Light and I, Q. (geek! lol!) What is your favorite movie of all time? (Duh!) My favorite movie is Swordfish. Followed by some choice Star Trek movies. Yes, I am a Star Trek geek. I started in 4th grade. Of course, if I hadn't been so much of a geek, I wouldn't have played Trelane, and I may not be on staff now. Swordfish?!? Really? Yup. I remember I went to see the movie with some friends, and I only watched it because it had John Travolta. I came out saying, "I'm not sure what I just watched, but it was COOL!" *Shakes head* You were the shopkeeper at the wand shop in Diagon Alley. If you lived in the Harry Potter universe, what field of work would you persue? I'm not sure. Something that I could play and experiment, for sure. I'd probably be in Muggle Studies just for the video games, though. Something about technology absolutely fascinates me. There's a reason I like Star Trek: the focus on exploration and technology. I think very logically for a "right-brained" person, and am really a scientist at heart. Your Siggy talks about your little Slytherins... care to elaborate? I actually started calling them that when I was pregnant, and I had a sig that had a snake hatching out of an egg saying that we had a little Slytherin due.
Both Draco (Draco Silver) and I are almost always sorted into Slytherin, and there's that idea that house tends to run in families. Not always, of course, but hey, why not? Our oldest is 2 now, precise, and a lot like me. He's always interested to see what things do, and is fascinated with the computer. Has been since before he could sit up on his own. His little brother was so ambitious, he couldn't wait to be born! lol He was 7 weeks early, but his lungs were fully developed. He was never tube fed, and the most extra care he needed was the incubator. But other than size, he's already caught up and starting to surpass others his age, developmentally. What was your reaction when your were made a Professor? I was stunned. I hadn't really been around much, I cut out about mid-Term 4, and my presence afterward was sporadic at best. I came back for Term 14 with Kaida, was told I couldn't play her, so I played Trelane for a term instead. Which I think actually worked out much better. But when I got the PM saying that they wanted me as Herbology professor, I didn't answer at first. I waited a while to see if I would get a PM saying that they sent it to me by mistake. When I didn't, I said I'd be happy to do it, but I still believed I was about to get the "I'm sorry, I sent that to the wrong person" PM. It took me a while to get into my head that they really wanted me as professor. The funny thing was, I was already thinking of ways to prove myself enough to become a professor. Thankfully, even before then, I'd sewn the seeds to be able to take Trelane out. Especially when he suddenly got a letter that he was extremely serious about and didn't want to talk about. It gave a nice opening to have him transfered to another school. Lol! Well Zellanna, that was my last question... thank you for talking to me Not a problem! See ya around the site! |
