Chapter 9,Secrets Are Revealed and Risks Are Taken
The next few Malfoy- free weeks came by uneventful. When he finally did come back, he stayed away from me. I was so glad. But I didn’t know he really didn’t. Three days after he came back, I went to the bathroom because I felt like I was being followed. Like that hair on the back of my neck stood up kind of feeling. I was going to get out of the stall when I heard Parvati’s and Lavender’s voice. I was going to interrupt when I heard my name. “You have to tell Hermione! He attacked her for God sakes!” Parvati was saying. “I didn’t think he would do that! The potion wasn’t that strong!” Lavender said. “ Wasn’t that strong it was like a year or two old! If you don’t tell her that you gave Malfoy love potion so he would fall in love with her and you would get Ron, then I will!” Parvati said angrily. I opened the stall door loudly. I eyed Lavender angrily, “That was your fault! Your fault that I was stalked and attacked and had my skull cracked open! Your fault that I never felt safe!” I yelled, tears forming in my eyes. This girl was my friend and she’s the reason behind this. The reason that my life was a living hell. “I’m sorry Hermione, I just thought that I would get Ron if I did” she said sadly. “How is Ron involved in this?” I asked. “Lavender thought that he still loved you and if you were with Malfoy he would get over you. Even though I told her that you had Harry so he would have to get over you. “ Parvati said.
“Well, Lavender, your going to come with me and were going to go to Snape and he will cure Malfoy. You will confess everything to him and Dumbledore. I can’t believe I’m saying this but Malfoy was wrongfully punished. “ Lavender and Parvati followed me while I went to try and find Malfoy. I found him, lurking outside the girl’s room. Surprise, Surprise! “You , come with us!” I said and he obeyed. We walked to Snape’s room with Malfoy’s annoying questions the whole way. “Are we having dinner? Should I have dressed up?” “You look fine!” I said annoyed. When we finally got there, Snape was grading papers. “Yes, Miss Granger?” he asked when I stepped inside. “Professor, I found out why Malfoy was acting so werid. Lavender had givin him a love potion and I would really appreciate if you could cure him” I said. “Really, a love potion, Miss Brown how old was that love potion?” he asked her and looked at Draco, who was staring at me. “Like two years old or something” she muttered. “You foolish girl! You can’t give someone a potion that strong! He could have permanently been under that spell!” he said angrily and she was shaking. He started working on the potion and once it was done he gave it to Malfoy.
When he was out of the trance, he looked at me disgusted. “How did I get here? Why is she here?” “Its him, well Malfoy you were givin a love potion and you started stalking me and attacked me. You also kissed me and called me attractive. “ I added the last part to see the reaction on his face which was priceless. “You four some with me” Snape said and we walked to Dumbledore’s office.There Lavender confessed to what she did and was given three weeks worth of detentions. He also told Malfoy he would write to his parents and tell him that it wasn’t his fault what he did. We all left and I turned to Parvati. “Thanks for saying what you said in the bathroom. Or I would still have Stalker Boy stalking me.” I smiled at her and she said “No problem”. When we got to the common room, we split and I went to sit with Harry,Ron and Ginny.
“Hermione, where’ve you been?” Harry asked. “At Dumbledore’s office, it seems that Lavender is to blame for the whole Malfoy stalking thing. She wanted Ron and thought he still loved me and well she was stupid.” I said and they all looked shocked and Ron looked shocked and pleased. “How?” Ginny asked. “Love potion, old love potion” I said shaking my head. We kept talking until it was late and Ron and left. Harry laid on the couch with me lying on his stomach. He stroked my hair as we looked at the fireplace. “Harry?” “Yeah?” “I was wondering if you ever thought about…doing it with me?” I asked shyly. “Of course, why do you ask?” he said simply. “I was just thinking that if I was to lose my virginity I would want to lose it to you” I said softly. “Really?” I nodded. “I was wondering if you wanted to now…” Harry asked. “Now? But Harry…””We love each other and we know the risks. We’ve been friends for years, we trust each other” I smiled and nodded. We crept into Harry’s dorm and before I knew it we had done it.
The next morning, I looked up and saw Harry and everything that happened the night before went through my head. I smiled and started getting my clothes on. I walked out and into the common room. I saw Ginny there, grinning at me. The common room was empty. “So what were you doing last night?” she asked and looked at my messy hair and inside out shirt. “Well…I don’t know what you mean” I said but was smiling. “ You never came up last night, did you and Harry you know?” she said, still grinning. “Yeah!”I said and she screamed excitedly. “Sh!” I said to her. “Was it fun?” “I’d rather not talk about it., Ginny, its private” “Ok whatever” I still couldn’t believe I had done that. It was so unlike me, but then again when I’m with Harry, I don’t think. We just stayed there, talking about it. Ginny got me talking of course. About an hour later, Harry walked down the stairs and into the room. We smiled at each other and he sat next to me. “So, I heard you and Hermione had fun last night” Ginny said and we laughed. “We sure did” and we started making out, right there. “I have to get dressed! Its almost breakfast!” I said and ran to get dressed. I showered and brushed my hair and went back there. Harry must of told Ron because he was like “No way!” “Hi!” I said. Ron shivered like he didn’t want to imagine me and Harry together. “ Ready to have breakfast?” they all nodded and went to eat.
We ate while Ron and Harry talked about Quiddich. Harry and I smiled at each other every time our eyes met. When we were done, we saw Dumbledore rise from his chair, the hall became quiet that instant. “We have some exciting news! In two weeks on December 15th we will be having the First Annual Hogwarts Talent Show!(The room buzzed with excitement) Sign up sheets will be in your commom room!” he said and everyone talked excitedly. “I’m not going to enter” Harry said and Ginny and Ron nodded both saying “Me nether”. “I think I might”I said and they looked at me shocked. “What will you do?” Ginny asked me. “Sing of course” I said simply. I never sang in front of them but I become a huge risk taker since I been with Harry. “I didn’t know you could sing! Sing for us!” Harry said. “Nope! I’ll only sing in front of Ginny. She will be my coach in a way, you two will just have to wait two weeks!” I said and smiled at them. They both complained about that, of course. I spent a few days choosing a perfect song. After I sang in front of Ginny, she looked shocked. “That was amazing, Mione! Why didn’t you tell us you could sing that good?” she said. “I don’t know but I’m taking more risks now” I said and smiled. I couldn’t wait until the show.
