Chapter 8, Attacked By a Serpent
The day after Halloween got me thinking about what Malfoy did and said to me. He said that he would get what he wanted. He wanted me…was he going to do anything he had to do to get me? I got dressed in my robes and brushed my hair and went to the common room. I’ve decided I was not going to be alone in Hogwarts until Malfoy comes to his senses and believes me to be a “Mudblood”. “Hi Harry” I said smiling. “Hey my beautiful fairy” “I wish u would stop saying that!” I said but was blushing all the same. “But you are” I smiled at him as our lips locked. “You hungry?” he asked and I nodded and we walked to the Great Hall, hand and hand.
When we walked past the Slytherin table, I saw Malfoy glaring at Harry. Is he high or something or was he jealous? When he caught my eye, he smiled and I glared at him. I ate my food quietly, my mind pounding with thought. Was he going to do something stupid? I ate and walked with Harry and Ron to Potions. I focused on my potion and tried to forget about Malfoy and his so called obsession with me. I could tell all threw the day that he trying to get me alone. I was scared out of my wits. When my last class,Arthimacy. I was beginning to hate this class because it seemed to be so far away from safety. I looked out the door, waiting for Harry. He said he would walk me to each class when I told him about how scared I was. He was late. I started walking fast, with my wand in my hand.
“Hey beautiful” I turned around expecting Harry but got none of such sort. “Why can’t you just leave me alone!?” I yelled at him as he came closer. “We can be happy together, I used to think you were an ugly Mudblood but you aren’t” Malfoy said. I turned and ran as fast as I could; hoping he wouldn’t hurt me. He ran after me and when he got close enough he hit me in the back of the head and I fell head first into the floor. I felt the impact before I hit the floor. I touched my head and winced at the pain and saw blood on my hand. “You will do what I tell you too! Imper…””Pertrificious Totalius(bear with me i dont know how to spell it..). “ he feel to the ground. I tried to walk to the hospital wing and almost got there before I passed out.
I woke up with my head pounding and recognized that I was in the hospital wing. “Hermione, your awake!” I looked over and saw Harry smiling weakly. He had a two black eyes and mutiply cuts on his face and his nose seemed to have been broken. “ Harry James Potter ,what happened to your face?!””Chill, Malfoy attacked me so I couldn’t bring you to the common room, its you I’m worried about” “How long have I been out?” “A day and a half” “WHAT?!” “Don’t worry we have all of your homework” he said. “Miss Granger, your awake! Here you need to take this potion” Madam Pomfrey said and game me a nasty tasting potion to drink. “What happened to me?” I said and felt the pain of bruises on my body from my fall. “You cracked your skull and we uncouncious for a day or so but you’ll need to stay here for a while. Oh and the Headmaster wanted to talk to both of you. “ she said and the door opened and revealed the whole Weasley family (including Molly and Arthur) and Dumbledore. “Hermione, dear your awake!” Mrs. Weasley said. “How are you feeling?” Ron asked me with a worried expression. “Ok”
“Harry, could you tell us all what happened to you?” Dumbledore said as everybody sat down. Madam Pomfrey didn’t even object to all of the visitors she seemed to want to know what happened too. “Well yesterday Draco Malfoy kinda attacked Hermione, he tried to kiss her and said she would be his. Hermione was scared because she could tell he was trying to get her alone so she asked me and Ron to escort her to some of her classes. I was going to get her from Arthimacy when Malfoy punched me in the face and did some other stuff that I can’t remember, its all a blur. “ he explained. “Hermione?” Dumbledore asked me now.
“Well I was leaving Arthimacy since Harry didn’t get me cause he was hurt . I started walking when Malfoy was saying stuff about that we would be happy together and all of that bull. When I tried to make a run for it and he ran after me and hit me in the back of the head onto the floor. I froze him so I could get away and passed out. That’s all I remember” I said and felt the eyes of everyone on me. “Don’t worry, I’m going to suspend
Mr.Malfoy. Then have him transferred into different classes so you won’t have to deal with him during class. If he comes in contact with you and trys to talk to you, he’ll be arrested. “Dumbledore said. I smiled at him gratefully. He got up and walked toward the door “Get better you two” he said and left them. “Are you sure your alright, Hermione? Do you want another pillow? Or soup, get her some soup! “ Mrs. Weasley said. “I’m fine!” I said laughing. “But how about some soup?” She went to get me some soup, taking Mr. Weasley with her. Everyone then looked at me. “Were really glad your ok” Ron said and everyone nodded. “When we heard about Harry getting attacked, we were shocked, when we heard you have been attacked too and was unconscious we were so worried about you!” Ginny said and I hugged her.
I then looked at Harry, “I was so worried about you and I wanted to kill Malfoy but Madam Pomfrey wouldn’t let me” he said pouting. I laughed and grabbed him and kissed him. The twins shot glitter and confetti at us, we parted and laughed as we were covered. “FRED, GEORGE! Must you ruin ever special moment with this stuff. Your going to kill us!” Harry yelled as I laughed.” Sorry mate, we couldn’t help it” Fred said grinning. Mrs. Weasley came in with hot soup which I eat happily while she scolded Fred and George. When I was done they left and told me to get some sleep. I pushed my bed into Harry’s and I feel asleep in his arms, him whispering “I love you” in my ear.
