Hedwig hooted. Once. Twice. Three times. Hedwig hooted some more. Hedwig got impatient. Hedwig nipped her master’s ear. Harry swore. Harry woke up. Hedwig decided she was happy with that result and stayed quiet instead she ruffled her feathers.
“Alright, alright…” Harry grumbled, rolling out of bed to retrieve the note that was attached to his Owl’s leg. He unfurled it and stroked Hedwig a few times before she returned to the owlery.
‘Harry’ said the note,
‘Meet me by the lake after breakfast
All my love
Ginny’
Harry smiled blissfully, looking forward to breakfast a lot more than before.
