Chapter 31Dumbledore's Guilt

Before Harry and Ron could get their brooms to their Common Room, some unknown teacher brought them to Dumbledore’s office. When they opened the door to the office, they saw a sight they never thought they would see. Both Ron and Harry dropped their broomsticks from disbelief. They saw Dumbledore, one of the strongest people Harry knew crying. Harry knew something must be terribly wrong for a man Dumbledore’s age to be crying. “What is it Sir?” Harry asked concerned. Dumbledore quickly wiped away his tears and walked over to them. He looked them both square in the eye. He put one hand on Ron’s shoulder and the other on Harry’s for comfort. “I’m afraid that Ms. Granger and Ms. Weasley were kidnapped. I’m sorry to say we have no idea where they could be.” Dumbledore said sadly. Ron fell to his knees and mumbled “My little sister. Oh God.” Harry took Dumbledore’s hand off his shoulder and looked at him angrily. “Who did this?!” Harry shouted heatedly. Dumbledore stepped away as if afraid of what Harry might do when he heard the answer. “I am truly sorry Harry. It was…Professor…Snape.” He said slowly. Harry had utter hatred in his eyes. He always knew that Snape couldn’t be trusted. He thought he loathed the man before, but now he knew he hated him with all his might. “Son Of A B****!!! I told you he was bad.” Harry yelled bitterly. Ron got up and took hold of Harry, for Harry had just whipped out his wand as if to strike Dumbledore. “Stop this. Everyone makes mistakes.” Ron said calmly. “Let go of me Ron! This is all his fault!!” Harry shouted while continuing to try and break free of Ron’s strong hold. Dumbledore took his seat once again. “Think about what your saying. It was an honest mistake. The real people you should be mad at is Snape and You-Know-Who.” Ron said wisely. For once Ron’s wise words got through to Harry. He stopped fighting. Ron let him go when he saw he had calmed down. “The both of you will never know how terrible I feel about all of this. I promise you that I will do everything in my power to get those two back to you safely.” Dumbledore said strongly. “Thank you Sir.” Ron replied. “I’m sorry about how I acted Professor. Does Draco know yet?” Harry asked him. “No. Mr. Malfoy has no idea of what’s happened. Would it be too much to ask of you to…” Dumbledore said as he got cut off. “Don’t worry. I will tell him. It’s only right since it’s my sister.” Ron said bravely. “Alright, now off you go then. I have some work to do.” Dumbledore replied. Then Harry and Ron turned and left towards the Hospital Wing to break the bad news to Draco. To think after everything Draco has been through, he now has to deal with the love of his life being kidnapped.
